Quartz glass fiber wool / cotton is a high-performance inorganic fiber material, made from high-purity fused quartz
(SiO₂ ≥99.95%) via advanced melting and fiberizing technology. It is famous for its excellent high-temperature resistance,
chemical stability, electrical insulation and lightweight feature, widely used in various high-end industrial fields.

Physical & Chemical Properties
High-Temperature Resistance: Long-term working temperature: 1050-1100℃; Short-term temperature resistance:
up to 1500℃; Melting point: ≥1660℃. Excellent thermal shock resistance, no cracking or powdering under rapid
temperature changes, maintaining structural integrity in ultra-high temperature conditions.
High Purity & Chemical Stability: SiO₂ purity ≥99.95%. No binder, asbestos or harmful substances, no volatile
matter at high temperature. Resistant to most acids, alkalis and organic solvents (except hydrofluoric acid and
hot phosphoric acid), suitable for harsh corrosive environments.
Superior Thermal Insulation: Randomly arranged fluffy fiber structure traps static air effectively, thermal conductivity
as low as 0.036W/(m·K) at room temperature, 10 times better than ordinary glass fiber. Small heat capacity, quick
response to temperature changes, reducing heat loss significantly.
Mechanical Performance: Fiber diameter: 1-14μm (common 3-5μm); Density: 2.2g/cm³; Tensile strength: up to
3600MPa. Fluffy, soft and flexible, good dimensional stability and resilience, easy to process, fill and install.
Excellent Electrical Insulation: Volume resistivity ≥10¹⁶Ω·cm (20℃-1000℃); Dielectric constant: ~3.70 (1MHz);
Dielectric loss: 0.0001 (1MHz). Ideal for high-temperature insulation and wave-transparent applications.
